Increasing Optimism for China’s Economy Led Gains in Europe Stocks
As of February 8, European stock markets had gains after the increasing optimism for Chinese economy. Thus FTSE 100, Stoxx 50 and DAX rose by 0.57%, 1.25% and 0.81% respectively. However, in weekly basis, European markets declined since the political uncertainty in Italy and corruption claims in Spain increased the worries about Euro-area debt crisis.
