After Paris attacks, France closes borders
French president Francois Hollande declared the state of emergency in televised remarks Friday evening, calling the situation “an unprecedented terrorist attack.” Hollande closed France’s borders and mobilized the French military.
“We’re going to do whatever it takes to work with the French people and nations around the world to bring these terrorists to justice and go after any terrorist networks that go after our people,” Obama said in his news conference.
Recall that there were a total of at least six attacks across Paris, including suicide bombings.
